The first YOTA Junior camp for the Americas has been scheduled for July 25-27, 2025. The camp will be held at the National Voice of America Museum of Broadcasting, West Chester, Ohio, USA. YOTA junior is a three day weekend camp for young hams to meet other young hams, participate in unique experiences with radio related technologies, and build relationships with mentors and peers.
The camper application period is open from now until June 1st, at https://youthontheair.org/jrcampapply/. Licensed amateur radio operators under the age of 15 are eligible to attend. While the subregional camp is designed for participants from the USA, others may apply. At least one parent/guardian must accompany the camper, but does not need to be a licensed amateur.
Up to 15 campers and their parents/guardians will be accepted for the camp this year.
The camp is a miniature version of the week-long region wide camps for ages 15-25. The cost for each person (camper and parent) is $100. Transportation to and from Cincinnati is not included.
Funding for YOTA Junior USA 2025 is provided by a grant from Amateur Radio Digital Communications (ARDC).
