Hey there YOTA camp alumni and staff & families! Are you going to the Dayton Hamvention this year? We hope to see you there! Please be sure to spend some time in the booth (#4304) while you’re there. If you can answer questions in the booth for a while, we’d appreciate the help. We will also host a social hour at noon on Friday and Saturday in the meeting area behind the booth. Stop by for snacks, a drink, and good friends! To sign up for a shift, click here.
If you are interested, we have reserved a block of rooms at a nearby hotel for a slightly discounted price. The idea is to have a common place for YOTA folks to hang out.
Please understand, this is totally optional and YOTA is not involved in chaperoning or arranging any activities at the hotel. We just asked the hotel to block off some rooms so people could stay in the same hotel and get a price break. Again, YOTA is not doing any kind of supervision or transportation. That’s up to you (and your parents if you’re under 18). This is also where Four Days in May will take place.
The room block is at the following hotel:
Holiday Inn Dayton/Fairborn/WPAFB
2800 Presidential Drive
Fairborn, Ohio 45324
(937) 426-7800
Each room has 2 queen beds at the rate of $179 per night plus tax.
To reserve your room, email Neil at director@youthontheair.org for the direct reservation link. (We are not sending the link in this email because last year people not involved with YOTA took most of the rooms!)
If you need fewer days than the online reservation allows, please call the phone number after making the online reservation and cancel the night(s) you do not need.
The rooms will be available via this link until they are all gone or April 14, whichever comes first.
Also, be sure to check out the Youth on the Air website and social media posts about more youth activities at Hamvention! Such as…
